Do you think being a stay at home mom “home maker” is a carrer? Why or why not?
Thanks to many of you but I don’t need money. I am writing a paper about stay at home mothers.

My mom says that being a stay-at-home mom is the best thing she’s ever done, but maybe that’s only her opinion…
Yeah, I think it’s a career. Sure, you don’t get paid, but you get the satisfaction of actually watching your children grow up, unlike workaholics.
I think if you’re raising kids, it is. If you’re just a homemaker, not really. That’s what my mom does, and I don’t know why. You can’t depend on men anymore; she’s lucky to have my dad. I do my own housework and cooking and such (in addition to my job), and don’t get paid for it, so why would it be considered a job?
If a woman stays at home and raises a family that is a 24 hr a day, 7 day a week job. The responsibilities include- time management, health and welfare of others, instilling morals, behavior modification, cleaning, cooking, chauffering, meal planning, shopping, overall anything needing to be done.
Is it hard? sometimes, sometimes not- which is just like any other job you would have outside the home.
I take issue with husbands that want their wives to stay home and then discount the job those women are doing. I am a divorced mom and I wanted to stay at home.
What job is more rewarding then taking care of your kids??? Plus how nice for the person who has a job outside the home to know that someone else can take care of all the little errands, watch your kids with love, and when you get home you are free to just have fun with your kids versus shopping, cooking and cleaning and trying to find a way to have meaningful moments with your kids?
Sure, it is very important and more women should do it instead of thinking its sexist.
